What We Do

At Russ Molloy Advocacy Group we specialize in helping institutions raise their profile to influence policy makers to take or avoid actions that affect their mission.

We take the time to listen to our clients to determine the issues they are facing in order to help them craft the most efficient and successful strategy to achieve their goals. Our unique and time-tested approach focuses on analyzing an organization’s specific needs and creates a detailed plan to ensure success.

By identifying the barriers that need to be overcome as well as the opportunities available, we utilize our years of experience as influencers in the legislative and regulatory arenas to create the optimum strategic approach.

In addition to targeting key internal and external audiences, we are known for our coalition building that results in outcomes that have consistently exceeded expectations.  By linking the needs of diverse organizations and securing them to work together and speak as one voice - we enjoy a proven track record of achieving results that go far beyond any one organization’s individual potential.

Our Services

  • Advocacy Planning

We focus on your goals and assess the surrounding environment to determine the best approach to achieve the desired outcome. Upon review of internal resources, affiliated organizations and external entities, a detailed strategy will be developed and shared.

  • Creation and/or Oversight of a Government Affairs Department

Regulatory and legislative challenges and/or opportunities frequently call for enhanced advocacy efforts. We have significant experience in creating and overseeing the design of internal government affairs offices in a variety of settings as well as establishing oversight for external consultants/lobbyists.

  • Guidance for Structuring Internal Advocacy Efforts

Advocacy frequently involves engaging board members, employees and vendors to support critical goals. As part of the engagement, we assess the opportunities to leverage these resources to advance the client’s agenda.

  • Oversight of Consultants

We have many years of experience identifying, hiring and retaining effective outside consultants. We will also create a reporting mechanism to ensure consistent engagements.

  • Creation of Targeted Messaging for Key Audiences

Communication goes hand-in-hand with advocacy success. Beyond strategy, the messaging drives the agenda forward to accomplish the client’s goals. We will oversee communications initiatives including identification of key audiences and most effective platforms to reach that audience.

  • Metrics Design

Measuring advocacy success is complicated; especially as the timeline for accomplishing a specific goal can be extensive. We provide an analytical framework to identify ongoing activities to ensure sustained movement in support of all of the client’s advocacy objectives.
